In 2019, the 35th student council of the Global Campus "RIGHT," the ‘Artekne’ Center, the Start-up Support Group, and the Software-Centric University Business Group organized three contests and competitions to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Gachon University’s foundation. There was an 80-second promotional video contest for the 80th anniversary, 80th-anniversary start-up idea contest, and an 80th anniversary AI & Big Data academic festival.

 The first was an 80-second promotional video contest for the 80th anniversary. It was hosted by ‘Right’ and ‘Artekne’ Center and could be applied by a team of five or more college students currently in school. The document evaluation was conducted on the 19th and 20th, last September and the awards ceremony was conducted on 24th. The prize money was 1.5 million won for the first prize (one team), 750,000 won for the second prize (two teams), and 500,000 won for the third prize (three teams).

 The second was the 80th Anniversary Start-up Idea contest. This contest hosted by the ‘RIGHT,’ ‘Artekne’ center, and Start-up Support Group, was designed to promote local youth start-ups and provide opportunities for commercialization by discovering and supporting the students with creative ideas. A team of five or more students could apply. The document·presentation evaluation was held on 17th-19th September and the prize ceremony on 24th September. The prize money was 1.5 million won for the first prize (one team), 750,000 won for the second prize (two teams), and 500,000 won for the third prize (three teams). The award-winning benefits included programs to support start-ups at Gachon University such as education and mentoring, communal start-up preparation spaces, mileage from start-up scholarships and support for start-up club.

 The last contest was the 80th anniversary AI & Big Data academic festival – experience and contest. It was hosted by the Software-Centric University Business Group and the ‘Artekne’ Center. On 25th September, an experience contest was held in the lobby of the first floor of IT Convergence University, where AI and SW-Coding experience, and students' works for AI & Big Data technology were displayed. AI experience included humanoid robot dance and humanoid robot experience, drone driving test, and SW experience which could be materialized by directly modifying block-code. In addition, the best works from the academic contest were displayed.

 So far, we have looked at some contests celebrating the 80th anniversary of Gachon University. Although we cannot participate in them since all of them were over for this year, various centers of Gachon University are still holding different contests.
